The MAUI 66 G3 is a high-performance, fully active 4-way column PA system with a passive cardioid column design. As the flagship of the MAUI series, it combines powerful full-range sound, plenty of headroom, punchy deep bass and controlled dispersion with the fast, straightforward handling the MAUI series is known for.

The high-power 18" neodymium woofer is paired with a low-tuned bass-reflex enclosure to deliver powerful, precise low end down to 28 Hz. Elliptical, airflow-optimised bass reflex ports reduce turbulence and port noise, ensuring clean, defined bass even at high output levels.

The two-piece column houses a total of 16 × 3.5" neodymium midrange drivers and 4 × 1" compression drivers. In the upper column section, newly developed phase plugs and BEM-optimised waveguides ensure even, controlled dispersion.

Two of the midrange drivers are positioned above the high-frequency section, giving the system its impressive reach and midrange clarity, even in open-air applications.

The lower column section features horn-loaded midrange drivers for increased efficiency, substantial headroom and powerful, clear vocal reproduction. The result is coherent mid- and high-frequency reproduction with a dispersion pattern of 120° × 25°.

The column's passive cardioid design directs sound energy towards the audience while attenuating rearward radiation by up to 18 dB. This significantly reduces unwanted sound on stage. With an additional rear-facing MAUI 66 G3 SUB and the Cardioid preset, this principle can be extended to the low-frequency range, increasing bass output towards the audience while noticeably reducing it behind the system. For maximum bass boost, the second subwoofer can instead be positioned facing forwards, doubling the sound pressure in the low-frequency range (+6 dB).

A Class-D amplifier delivers 1,900 W RMS (3,800 W peak), enabling a maximum SPL of 135 dB. The fully active 4-way architecture uses dedicated driver groups and amplifier channels for each frequency band. Crossover frequencies are set at 200 Hz, 700 Hz and 1,800 Hz. Equipped with DynX® DSP (Gen. 2) and advanced peak, RMS and thermal limiters, the MAUI 66 G3 delivers clean, undistorted sound even at the highest output levels.

Two XLR/TRS combo inputs, two Thru outputs and a dedicated sub output allow for straightforward system integration and flexible expansion. Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC codec support enables convenient wireless playback.

The polyurea-coated birch multiplex subwoofer enclosure and rugged aluminium columns are built to withstand everyday professional use. Four ergonomic carrying handles on the subwoofer and recessed handles in the columns make transport and handling easier.

3,800 W Peak Power

With 1,900 W RMS (3,800 W peak) and a maximum SPL of 135 dB, the MAUI 66 G3 delivers the power and headroom needed for demanding live performances, DJ sets and larger events. Its Class-D amplifier and integrated DynX® DSP (Gen. 2) work together to deliver clean, controlled sound even at high output levels, while advanced limiters protect the system.

Deep Bass Down to 28 Hz

The MAUI 66 G3 features a high-performance 18″ neodymium woofer in a low-tuned bass reflex enclosure, delivering powerful, precise deep bass down to 28 Hz. Elliptical, airflow-optimised bass reflex ports reduce turbulence and unwanted port noise, keeping the low end clean, defined and punchy even at high output levels.

Fully Active 4-Way System

The fully active 4-way system splits the audio signal into four frequency bands, with crossover points at 200 Hz, 700 Hz and 1,800 Hz. Each band is handled by a dedicated driver group and amplifier channel, allowing the subwoofer, lower and upper midrange drivers and high-frequency section to be precisely matched to their respective tasks. The result is powerful, balanced sound with excellent clarity across the entire frequency range.

Clear Sound with Extended Reach

The MAUI 66 G3 combines 16 × 3.5″ neodymium midrange drivers with 4 × 1″ compression drivers for powerful, detailed sound over greater distances. Two midrange drivers positioned above the high-frequency section extend midrange performance and reach. In the upper column, the BEM-optimised waveguide provides even high-frequency coverage, while the phase plugs support controlled midrange dispersion. Horn-loaded midrange drivers in the lower column increase efficiency and headroom, delivering powerful, clear reproduction of vocals and instruments.

Passive Cardioid Column

The passive cardioid design of the MAUI 66 G3 directs sound energy towards the audience while reducing sound radiated towards the rear by up to 18 dB between 100 Hz and 1 kHz. This helps reduce unwanted sound on stage and can also minimise reflections from surfaces behind the system, providing greater control over sound distribution – particularly in challenging acoustic environments.

Expandable Bass Performance

Need more bass or greater control over low-frequency dispersion Simply add a second MAUI 66 G3 SUB. Positioned facing forwards, the additional subwoofer increases bass output by up to 6 dB. For a cardioid subwoofer setup, position it facing backwards and activate the Cardioid preset. This increases bass output towards the audience while significantly reducing low-frequency sound behind the system.
