Need Powerful Sound Without a Complicated PA Setup? Meet the RCF EVOX 12

For DJs, performers, and event professionals, choosing a portable PA system often means balancing three things: output, coverage, and setup time. The RCF EVOX 12 takes a different approach by combining a 15-inch woofer, eight 4-inch neodymium full-range drivers, built-in amplification, DSP processing, and a pole-mounted column design into one portable system.

If you need a portable PA system for demanding live applications, the EVOX 12 is designed to deliver substantial output while keeping the system practical to transport and deploy.

What Is the RCF EVOX 12?

The RCF EVOX 12 is an active two-way array PA system featuring a 15-inch woofer and eight 4-inch neodymium full-range transducers. Its built-in amplifier delivers 1,400 watts peak power, while the system is rated at 700 watts RMS.

The 15-inch woofer handles the low-frequency foundation, while the column of eight compact drivers covers the rest of the audible range. RCF specifies a 40 Hz–20 kHz frequency response and a maximum SPL of 130 dB.

That combination makes the RCF EVOX 12 PA system particularly interesting for applications where you need substantial sound from a relatively streamlined setup.

Key Features and Real-World Benefits

15-Inch Woofer for Full-Bodied Low End

The 15-inch woofer is designed to provide powerful low-frequency reproduction. For DJs, that can help bring more impact to bass-heavy music, while live performers can benefit from stronger kick-drum and low-end reproduction.

Eight 4-Inch Neodymium Drivers

The top array uses eight 4-inch neodymium full-range drivers. This column configuration is designed for wide horizontal coverage, with RCF specifying 90° horizontal and 30° vertical coverage.

For corporate events, presentations, performances, and DJ applications, that coverage can help distribute sound across the intended audience area.

Built-In DSP and 1,400W Peak Power

The integrated DSP section provides volume and EQ controls, while thermal and RMS protection plus a soft limiter are included in the system's processing.

The 1,400W peak amplifier is another strong point, with 1,000W peak allocated to the low-frequency section and 400W peak to the high-frequency section.

Designed for Easier Transport

The EVOX 12 uses a Baltic birch plywood cabinet and includes side and top handles, a pole mount, integrated wheels, and an extendable handle. The system weighs approximately 80.24 pounds.

For mobile DJs and event professionals moving equipment between venues, these design details can make a meaningful difference during setup and breakdown.

Where Can You Use the RCF EVOX 12?

The system is particularly suited to:

• DJ performances and mobile entertainment
• Corporate events and presentations
• Live performers and musicians
• Parties and event productions
• Portable live sound applications
• Professional setups requiring a compact column-array format

Its XLR/Jack inputs and XLR output also make it practical to integrate into professional audio setups.

What to Consider Before Buying

Before choosing the RCF EVOX 12, consider the size of your venue, audience coverage requirements, transportation needs, and the type of material you will reproduce.

Its 15-inch woofer, 130 dB maximum SPL, column-array design, and integrated amplification make it a substantial system, but the right PA choice should always be based on the specific application.
