Need More Energy on the Dance Floor? Meet the ADJ Vertigo HEX LED

A great DJ setup needs more than strong sound. When the music starts, the lighting should help create movement and visual energy without making the setup unnecessarily complicated. The ADJ Vertigo HEX LED is designed for exactly that kind of role, combining sound-activated movement, six-color LED technology, and a compact design in one dedicated DJ effect light.

For mobile DJs, event professionals, venues, and party setups that need an engaging lighting effect, this fixture offers a straightforward way to add dynamic color and motion.

What Is the ADJ Vertigo HEX LED?

The ADJ Vertigo HEX LED is a compact DJ effect light built around two 12-watt 6-in-1 HEX LEDs. The RGBCAW LED configuration combines Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Amber, and White, giving the fixture a broader color palette than a basic RGB effect.

Its key attraction is sound activation. The fixture provides 60 sound-activated reactions, allowing its lighting effects to respond to music. ADJ also specifies 20 multi-colored beams that move with the sound, creating an active visual effect rather than static illumination.

Key Features and Benefits

Six-Color HEX LED Technology

The two 12-watt 6-in-1 LEDs combine six colors within the HEX system. This gives the ADJ Vertigo HEX LED more color options while supporting the brighter-output design described by ADJ.

Why it matters: DJs can introduce changing colors and visual variety without relying on several different effect fixtures.

Sound-Activated Lighting

With 60 sound-activated reactions, the lighting can respond to the music playing during an event.

Why it matters: This is especially useful for DJs and entertainers who want moving lighting effects without needing to manually trigger every change.

Compact and Lightweight Design

The fixture measures 13.75 × 10.75 × 11.75 inches and weighs 7 pounds.

Why it matters: Its relatively compact form makes it practical for mobile setups where equipment needs to be transported and positioned efficiently.

Power Daisy-Chaining

The Vertigo HEX LED operates on AC 100–240V, 50/60Hz, and includes IEC AC input/output connections for daisy-chaining power. ADJ specifies support for up to 10 units at 120V and 15 units at 230V.

Why it matters: Multiple fixtures can be incorporated into a larger lighting arrangement without requiring a separate power connection for every unit.

Real-World Applications

The ADJ Vertigo HEX LED can fit naturally into:

• Mobile DJ and wedding setups
• Private parties and celebrations
• Clubs and entertainment venues
• Event-production environments
• Fun centers and similar entertainment spaces
• Live performance setups where moving effects complement the main lighting

It can also be used with or without fog, giving lighting designers flexibility when creating the desired visual atmosphere.

Who Is It For?

This sound-activated DJ effect light is worth considering for users who want an engaging lighting effect without building an overly complicated lighting system. Mobile DJs can use it as an additional visual effect, while venues and event professionals can incorporate it into a broader collection of DJ lighting equipment.

Its 30W maximum power consumption per unit and LEDs rated at approximately 50,000 hours are also notable specifications for professionals considering long-term fixture use.

What to Consider Before Buying

Think about how the fixture will fit into your existing lighting design. The Vertigo HEX LED is an effect fixture rather than a replacement for an entire stage-lighting system. If your goal is to add movement, color, and sound-responsive effects, its feature set is particularly relevant.
