The Merit M-8S is an affordable, reliable AC power solution designed for any rack mount system that requires controlled power-up. Its primary feature is power sequencing, which powers on its rear outlets in three delayed groups to prevent the excessive inrush currents that can damage sensitive electronics. The M-8S features six sequenced outlets (two outlets per delay) , two unswitched rear outlets, and one unswitched front convenience outlet. It also provides surge protection and standard noise filtration to reduce radio frequency and electromagnetic interference. With a 15-amp rating, the M-8S is a reliable foundation for any studio or audio rig.

Easy Installation and Power Sequencing :

The M-8S is designed for easy installation in the top slot of your rack. Once installed, the unit's six delayed outlets on the rear panel provide sequenced power-up, ensuring that your equipment powers up in stages. This reduces the risk of power surges that can damage your gear, especially your speakers and amplifiers. With a total load capacity of up to 15 amps, the M-8S can handle the power needs of a wide range of audio and video equipment.

The device includes three delayed outlet banks, each consisting of two outlets, which allows for flexible distribution of power across multiple devices. Additionally, the unit offers two unswitched outlets, which are always on, providing power to critical devices that require continuous power, such as lighting or other essential gear.
